Eugene Toquero is from one of the best and most modern MMA gyms in the country's National Capital Region. He trains with MMA Pioneer Erwin Tagle and a stable of tough Pinoy combat sports Proffessionals such as Roy Doliguez, Onyok Transmonte, Mickey Ablan, and Ryan Jakiri, among others. Toquero holds a perfect record of 4-0, all wins via TKO stoppage in the Pacific Xtreme Combat. In his last fight in the PXC, Toquero displayed his Muay Thai skills when he landed solid knee strikes in the Muay Thai clinch and defeated his last opponent Jerome Wanawan, one of Team Lakay's toughest flyweights.
Enter Team Lakay's Geje Eustaquio, a former member of the Philippine Wushu team, he now gets a chance to avenge his stable mate's loss and was called in to welcome Toquero to the ONE FC stage. Eustaquio is a well-rounded fighter and a very steady flyweight who successfully debuted in Indonesia at ONEFC 2 against BJJ world champion Alex Silva.

Despite dropping a decision loss to Andrew Leone last May 2013, he has consistently showed his skills, confidence and improvement with his grappling game. This match-up promises to be a great stand-up affair between two fighters who hail from two distinct striking martial arts disciplines. I won't be surprised though, should they choose to out do each other in a ground game. Toquero's team at Submission Sports gym are no pushovers when it comes to grappling. And as mentioned, Eustaquio has a seriously steady grappling game. It has also been publicized on online websites that Team Lakay have been brushing up on their wrestling skills up in Baguio City with Wrestling Coach Ali Heyderabadi, a European Wrestling Champion and former Olympian. I definitely don't want to miss this event!
ONE FC: MOMENT OF TRUTH will be held on 6 December at the SM MOA Arena, Tickets are now on sale at www.SMTICKETS.com.
